Lord Krishna while performing the charioteer’s duty for Arjuna in the Kurukshetra war, in the Bhagwad Gita (chapter 4.13) discourse to Arjuna stated that the “four Varnas (Brahmana, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra) are created by `me’ in accordance with the mental make-up of and the specific duties required to be performed by people”. These are called varnashrama.
The categorization was duty-specific or job-specific and had no intention of dividing society into higher and lower classes. According to the system, the ruling class has to be Kshatriyas and not Brahmans. Brahmana refers to the very intelligent class of men, those who know what Brahman is (being in the mode of spirituality). Kshatriyas refers to the (being in the mode of passion) administrator group; Vaishyas to the mercantile group (being in the mode of passion and ignorance). The last is shudras, the laborer class, situated in the ignorant mode of material nature. These natural classifications are found everywhere. This is the Vedic principle
This is whatKrishna said to arjuna (18.41) “Brāhmaṇas, khṣatriyas, vaiśyas and śūdras are distinguished by the qualities born of their own natures in accordance with the material modes”.
The division is decided not by the parents you have but the inherent nature you are born with. The son of a Shudra once becomes a Ruler no more remains a shudra. Similarly a Brahmin if becomes a businessman no more remains a Brahmin.
Where are the Brahmins today? By mentality this class of people has practically disappeared. In kaliyuga most of us are away from spirituality. Those who may be, are selling spirituality, which was never the intention in the Vedanta. Most priests today are marketing and selling themselves. Even at the time of puja their mobiles can be seen to be ringing inviting them for their next business call.
Kshatriyas, most warriors in the army and the ones into administration have fallen into corruption. Nothing moves without money. They are businessman in the disguise of administrators. By convention all politicians are public administrators. Can one get a work done from majority of them without being a part of the corrupt system?
Where are the Sudras in the society? Due to the so-called reservations in the society, most of them are ministers, IAS officers, IPS officers, income tax officers, Doctors etc. Even if they become by quality of their work some one of an upper class they prefer to be called as sudras as they do not want the benefit to go from their family.
Most of the class today is that of a business-man and a part of the corrupt society. When there is only one class then why reservations.
Medical profession is called a noble profession. Doctors are considered next to GOD. Only those people who have a noble mind can qualify to become a doctor. The nobleness of a profession fits into a Brahmin mind. Once any body has got an admission in the medical college, he is no more a Kshatriya, Vaishya or Shudra, even if he is born out of a father or a mother who belonged to that category. He or she now is a Brahmin with noble mind.
The purpose of Vedic reservations was not to divide the society into caste system but probably was that if a person with a Brahmin mind wanted to become a doctor, was qualified to become so, irrespective of the family he was born, if he could not afford he should be looked after by the society by way of reservations.
As you have reservations for the rich, so called the capitation fee you have reservations for the poor. Amongst the reserved seats preference should be given to the poor students but with a noble mental aptitude irrespective of the family they were born. Under this system only intelligent person should enter into a medical profession with noble qualities of the mind.
On the other hand today due to fixed reservations you have students of a particular caste entering medical colleges with less than 50% marks. If this continues to happen, what will happen?
1. There will be only 2 types of students, half with 50% marks (even if no aptitude for a noble work) and the rest half with above 90% marks in the same class. No teacher will be able to justify teaching these two types of students in the same class.
2. The majority with 50%-90% marks (even if with a noble aptitude) and not getting a seat will get frustrated, commit suicide, go into depression, or run away from the country.
3. Those with 90% after passing also will run away from the country when they find themselves again competing students with 50% marks getting preference later in life.
4. Those who do not get admission in the MBBS in the first place will run away toChina,USSR,Mauritius,Nepal, Bangla Desh but will come back to our country after becoming an inferior quality doctor.
The time is to rethink, introspect, debate, think beyond politics and create a policy as per our Vedic Understanding so thatIndia can become the super power of the world.

Dear Dr. KK ji
It is really inspiring to start my day by reading emedinews followed by your blog, early in morning everyday. It gives so soothing effect that words can not describe. YOU ARE A MODERN SAGE. God bless.u
It is raelly high time we come out of these barriers and make Our Country What we all dream….A VIBRANT RESURGENT AND VERSATILE SUPER POWER. We have two daughters both brilliant…BUT alas……..they preferred to settle abroad only because of the reasons mentioned by you. The 90% + would find better heavens they DESERVE……….outside this country…….RAMPAT CORREPTION is eating the very fabric of our nation………..only Allah knows when Krishna..Rama…Jesus….Nanak will have the LAST SUPER…WITH HIM…to bury all differences based on colour caste creed culture community country and continent.
I find A HOPE IN YOUR THOUGHTS…………WHY NOT TO START OUR OWN POLITICAL THOUGHT…….and involve THE YOUTH WHO ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN CHANGE THE DESTINY OF THIS GREAT NATION…………..BHARAT.
There was the time when Brahmin would go and asy Bhiksham Dehi…………maximum at three doors….whatever alms he would get were accepted as God’s Grace to spend the day…..if nothing then Bhajan became Bhojan….
Physical Health was looked after by HEALER
Mental Aspect by TEACHER
&
Spiritual Health by PREACHER
WITHOUT ANY FEES OR CHARGES
In Return
Society (Samaaj) looked after their needs………….BUT now We the Healers…..we the Teachers and We the Preachers (so called Modern Brahmins) have become DASAS of Laxmi rather than Sarswati , HENCE WHAT WE HAVE SOWN IN AGES WE ARE REAPING……
IT IS WE AND ONLY WE WHO “CAN CHANGE”.
SO LEAD US ALL SIR……….
God bless.
